Samara Hill

Samara Hill is a Community Organizer at Detroit People's Platform and loves helping people build power and discover the wonderful world of digital organizing. She has spent the majority of her career in the non-profit world, gaining experiences in areas such as field organizing, data management, and transit justice advocacy. 

While community organizing is her primary job function by day, Samara also enjoys reading and reviewing books. Professional accomplishments include creating the “Majority Black Detroit Talks” Podcast where constituents communicate about their issues as well as training volunteers with skills to become employed as canvassers for organizing efforts.
