A cohort of 9-12 fellows who receive intensive training in theory of social change and the art and science of community organizing through hands-on campaigns.
In 2022 we graduated 12 talented individuals from the Fellowship program. Their expertise in issue advocacy ranges from prison reform & youth engagement to employment equity & improvement of family services.
This fellowship is geared toward individuals with an interest in refining and developing foundational skills in organizing.
Applicants should represent one or more of the following requirements:
Have a desire to build power in Black and Brown/multiracial communities, with a racial justice lens rooted in Black liberation
Have an interest in developing skills and learning to build a grassroots base to advance issue based campaigns within their place based context
Be passionate about community, social justice issues and transformative systemic change
Curious to learn, open to growth around the concept of praxis, applying through field practice on the ground
